portland

As mentioned in the last post, we took a trip to Portland for Conor and Erin's wedding and to visit Shelley, Jeremy and kids. I had a great time hanging with my sister and letting the kids play. The first night we were there, S&J made dinner for us. Jeremy had just finished building a picnic table so we had a BBQ with salmon and it was awesome!

We visited Astoria and climbed the tower to enjoy a beautiful view. Do you think there are enough pictures with that view? : ) We drove to the beach to check out an old shipreck. It was pretty amazing to see the remnants of this old ship left on the shore over 100 years ago. It was cold and the water was even colder but apparently that doesn't affect kids. Porter and Olive were still running around and getting wet. Matt and Jeremy took Porter and Olive camping on our last night there. They went for a hike the next morning. Porter still talks about it and the snake and squirrel they saw and the mouse that ate their trail mix. He obviously loved it! Shelley and I got to hang out with the little tots and do some shopping. It was a great trip. They have such a beautiful home! Thanks for the great hospitality and making it so much fun, S&J!
