merry christmas!

We are (pretty much) ready for Christmas. Porter has enjoyed choosing a magnet every day to place on his advent calendar, pulling a link off the chain and picking a treat from his advent calendar of chocolates from Aunt Judith. He is pretty excited for Christmas this year- almost as excited as me- and he has warmed up to Santa a bit. We were able to take his picture with Santa's without him screaming and crying. He says Santa is going to bring him a black shirt and a blue treat. This picture was taken when we went went to pick out a Christmas tree. Porter found a stick and got all dirty. Loch has played Jesus twice this month. Once at our Stake Christmas fireside and then Monday night at our family party. There were quite a few people at the Stake fireside and he was a little angel (well no, he was Jesus but acted like an angel : ) and didn't make a peep. Our family party was awesome! This was the first time we did the nativity and I loved it. Porter wasn't too keen on wearing the wise man costume- as you can see from the tears. We went to Disneyland last week and had so much fun! Porter loved it and Loch was perfect as usual. We went on the jungle cruise first. I think if Porter had his way we would have stayed there all day. We met up with Kristen, Chris and Macy after a few rides and went on the small world. I don't think I've seen Macy happier in her whole life! She was so excited, she started shaking and squeals/screams started bursting out of her with a beaming smile from ear to ear. It was too cute. Porter got to meet Mater and Lighting McQueen. He had to give each of them a hug and didn't want to leave their side. Dewey took some family pictures for us a few weeks ago. They turned out pretty good. We went to the beach to take some at the end and the waves were crashing up onto the rocks. Porter loved it so he and I were standing close. A huge wave came and soaked us! Matt was ducking with Loch behind a wall and Dewey was ducking protecting his camera. Porter was just busting up. We wish all of you and yours a very Merry Christmas! We hope your holidays are filled with lots of love and joy as we remember the birth of our Savior.

It was so fun to see you again at Christmas. You have such a cute little family. Looks like you joined Kristen that day at Disneyland, too bad we didn't run into you guys. That would have been fun. Tell all your family hello.
